Technology summary (In Japanese)ヒトの脳が言語をどのようにして保持しているかを理解するために,脳が言語の要素をどのように集合してより大きな構造を形成するかを,音声学および統語論のレベルで明らかにした。言語の階層構造について少なくとも2つの全く異なる考えがあり,それぞれは脳のレベルの言語過程の異なるモデルを必要とする。階層構造の1つは明らかに有限で,脳の長期メモリに保存される。2つ目は無限で,そのために数百ミリ秒にわたって新しく構成される表現を創り出すことができるメカニズムが必要になる。
