Technology summary (In Japanese)免疫制御を専門とする新しい免疫細胞系列として同定したVα14NKT細胞の受容体構造とそのリガンド,分化機構,機能発現のメカニズムを明らかにした。その結果,Vα14NKT細胞受容体リガンドが糖脂質であるα-GalCerであることが分かった。Vα14NKT細胞受容体はNKT細胞だけに発現する受容体でNKT細胞の分化に必須であることが分かった。GMCSF受容体からのシグナルにとって,遺伝子再構成を起こし,Vα14受容体を発現するVα14NKT細胞前駆細胞を発見した。流産,IgE抗体産生の抑制,自己免疫病発症阻止,がん転移阻止する機能があることを発見した。
